Golfer's Elbow

Golfers Elbow 1

Understanding Golfer's Elbow

This is the “mirror” of tennis elbow, affecting the tendons on the inside of the joint. It is common in people who do repetitive lifting, hammering, or gripping.

Common Symptoms

  • Pain on the inner elbow when flexing the wrist or shaking hands.
  • Stiffness in the elbow joint.
  • Reduced grip strength.

The Ashbourne Approach

Treatment focuses on unloading the medial tendons. We use soft tissue release to the forearm flexors and specialised loading exercises to help the tendon tolerate the force of gripping. We also check your technique (whether in golf or at work) to identify any biomechanical errors causing the strain.
