Katie Walstow
Associate
I entered into Physiotherapy in 2011, completing a Masters degree at the University of Birmingham, following completion of a Bachelors degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Derby.
I have worked in the NHS for the last 11 years, completing rotations in respiratory and neurological physiotherapy, before finding my passion helping those with musculoskeletal problems. As part of my NHS role, I have completed additional training enabling me to assess more complex conditions which may require further investigations or referral on to other disciplines. I have also worked as a clinical specialist in an upper limb orthopaedic outpatient unit, having developed a special interest in shoulder problems. I now work part time at the wonderful clinics in Ashbourne and Hilton, alongside my NHS role.
I enjoy treating people of all ages, with all sorts of musculoskeletal problems, with a variety of approaches aimed to improve function and help you to feel empowered to return to the things that are important to you. In my spare time, I enjoy hiit training and being in the great outdoors in our beautiful county with my husband and 2 dogs, Lulu and Poppy.
Special Interests
I have a particular interest in conditions that affect the shoulder.
