I have recently taken over the role of Practice Manager after retiring from the Police Service. Some of my skills and knowledge from the police have been transferable (organisational, paperwork, legislative, procedures) but the client base is somewhat different. I thoroughly enjoy working with physio’s there always plenty of office banter but also lots of hard work and personal motivation. Every day is varied bringing its own challenges and I’m usually t the Ashbourne Clinic if you need to contact me. When I am not at work I spend my time ferrying my son around, playing sport and trying to play the drums.
After working on reception for a couple of years I now work part-time as the Office Administrator at Ashbourne. It is an interesting position working with a really social bunch of physio’s and office staff making it a great place to work.
Having worked on reception for 9 years, I have got to know a lot of patients and enjoy having a chat with both old and new patients.
I enjoy going to the gym, swimming and watching TV with large glass of wine (or two)!
I am well known at the clinic for my organisational skills, so if anyone needs anything at either the Ashbourne or Hilton Clinics they know where to come.
I am a part time receptionist at Ashbourne and have been for the past 18 months but this is not the first time I have held this position, I was here in the same role for 12 years about a decade ago. When not working I enjoy walking, cooking, gardening. I also love meeting people which helps make my job so enjoyable as well as being part of a team.
Previously working for an airline as a Customer Service Agent, I have an outgoing and chatty personality and enjoy very much working on reception at both Ashbourne & Hilton. My two young children fill the rest of my time doing various activities. Holidays and weekends away are at the top of my list giving me time to relax and have fun.
I work alternate Monday evenings on reception at the Ashbourne clinic and Saturday mornings at the Hilton. I also try to cover holidays and sickness when possible. My previous experience working in busy Air Traffic Operational environments in the RAF has given me a flexible, hands-on approach and I now enjoy being part of this friendly professional team. I am married with two children at primary school and in my spare time I have recently completed an OU History degree and do voluntary work at the school and local Children’s Centre. My hobbies include travelling reading and walking.
